How would you describe your approach to therapy?

I believe that we are all searching for quality connections with one another. My job as your Counselor is to
help you connect with your own feelings and the people in your life who are important to you. I can work
with you to find and set boundaries that help you maintain healthy relationships with those people. I take a
solutions focused approach in therapy. I believe that therapy is work that we both commit to and in order for
it to be sustainable, it has to have elements of humor alongside the more serious stuff.

What led you to become a counselor?

After a decade-long career in School Counseling, I'm now working to improve the mental health of my clients
in a more focused setting. Working with students from all backgrounds and with a wide variety of issues, I
became passionate about supporting the emotional growth of adolescents, parents/guardians and teachers.

As a parent of two young children, I understand intimately how children can change your sense of yourself,
your partner, and your place in the world. I am committed to helping you through what may be the biggest
transition of your life moving into new parenthood. Whether you are a birthing person, partner, or otherwise
starting your life as a parent, I’m here to support you on this next chapter.

As an Austin Transplant myself, I’m also committed to helping those who have uprooted their lives to come
to this city full of promise and potential. Perhaps you’ve been disappointed by your experience, or maybe
you love it here, but change is hard and the transition has taken a toll on your emotional health. I can relate
in a firsthand way to what you’re going through and would love to help support you.

What trainings have you completed and how do they relate to your ideal client?

I am trained in person-centered, cognitive behavioral, solution focused therapies. My 10 years of experience
working in schools has given me a unique perspective on the school experience for kids, parents and
teachers. If you’re a parent looking to support your school-aged child, I can help you navigate the school’s
support systems and if you’re an educator looking for someone who can understand well the stress and
pressure of a school environment, I’m here for you. I love working with folks who are ready to address their
anxiety and stress brought on by school, parenthood, family, or any life event.

Personal note - What do you love to do in your free time?

I live with my husband and two young children in Austin. In my free time, I bake lots of sweet things and
enjoy my fair share of Netflix bingeing. I also love group exercise!
