How would you describe your approach to therapy?

My approach to therapy is centered on meeting individuals where they are at. I believe in the power of relationships to bring about positive transformation. My focus is to provide a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. I will be a nonjudgmental presence so that you can feel at ease as you discern, confront, wrestle with, and even embrace your current situation. I offer perspective and support to you so that you can be the best version of yourself. Together, we will navigate life’s ups and downs one session at a time.

What led you to become a counselor?

Growing up, I was taught that all people deserve to feel valued and know their worth. At a young age, I quickly realized that I could help someone feel valued and known by listening and taking time to care. Life is messy, and it can be difficult to navigate on your own. As a counselor, I love that I get to sit with others in the midst of this messy life as I seek to help others feel valued and heard. To me, there is no greater privilege.

What trainings have you completed and how do they relate to your ideal client?

I recently received my master’s in counseling from Texas A&M University at Commerce. As part of my graduate program, I completed a year-long internship at a local college in Dallas. Over the course of this internship, I worked directly with adolescents, young adults, and adults from various walks of life. I gained experience counseling individuals with depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, career exploration and life transitions. Additionally, I have background in non-profit and church work, leading and serving adolescents and young adults in non-counseling settings. All of these experiences have fueled my passion for helping others and shined a light on my ability to connect with and serve this specific population.

Is there anything else you would like your clients to know?

In taking the initial step to see a counselor, you might be feeling scared or ashamed. However, I believe your vulnerability and openness to the therapeutic process makes you brave! As a counselor, I am here to walk alongside you in your journey to find healing. Take a deep breath and know that you are not alone. Transformation begins with that first step.

What do you love to do in your free time?

I love to spend time connecting with family and friends over a good meal or a cup of coffee. New to the area, I enjoy discovering Austin’s best taco stops and nature spots with my fiancé and our golden retriever, Sadie.
