My approach to therapy is relational and holistic. I believe that in order to be whole, we must find balance in every part of our lives - mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. That journey may look different for every one of us, but I believe we start to experience chaos when one or more parts of us is neglected or unbalanced. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to bring healing.
My favorite training was my Certification in Integrative Nutrition for Mental Health. I work with many individuals who have a desire to overcome anxiety and depression without medication. I work from a holistic approach and discuss diet, exercise, sleep, and healthy lifestyle choices to discover practically what we can adjust to reduce the severity of symptoms. Did you know that often a nutrient deficiency will manifest as symptoms of depression? With that said, I am not anti-medication. I just fully believe in the value of learning what your body is telling you and addressing the root cause as much as possible.
I believe that Carl Jung said it so well. "I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become." My desire is to help my clients become the greatest versions of themselves and find joy and fulfillment in life. I do not take for granted the openness and vulnerability that the therapeutic process entails, and I am incredibly honored to be a part of each and every story.
In my spare time you will find me spending time with family, cycling, running, or doing yoga. I love coffee and traveling and have a passion for all things health and wellness, but I also really love Mexican food.
