How would you describe your approach to therapy?

In therapy, I embody a caring and approachable demeanor, creating a safe space where clients can freely express themselves. I firmly believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all , as each individual brings their own unique experiences and needs. Therefore, I adopt a flexible approach, drawing from a diverse range of techniques and modalities to tailor the therapy to suit my clients and their specific situations. By adapting my methods to best align with their needs, I strive to provide personalized and effective support on their path towards healing and growth.

What led you to become a counselor?

My journey as a therapist stems from a deep-rooted desire to extend my ability to support and empower individuals. With eight years of experience as a school counselor, my passion for assisting children, teens, and parents in building social and coping skills, improving interpersonal relationships, and addressing challenges such as anxiety has only grown stronger. Witnessing the positive impact therapy can have on individuals and families, I felt compelled to expand my skill set. Becoming a therapist allows me to continue helping people navigate life's hurdles, fostering personal growth, and enhancing the overall well-being of those who seek my guidance. It is a privilege to be on this path of service and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

What trainings have you completed and how do they relate to your ideal client?

Throughout my career, I have actively pursued various training that directly aligns with the needs of my ideal clients. I have completed training in anxiety management, trauma-informed care, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and mindfulness techniques. These trainings equipped me with specialized knowledge and skills to effectively address the unique challenges faced by individuals, children, and teens experiencing anxiety and trauma. By integrating these evidence-based modalities into my therapeutic approach, I can provide comprehensive support and guide my clients towards healing, resilience, and improved overall well-being.

Is there anything else you would like you clients to know?

Working with clients who are navigating stress and anxiety is a true passion of mine. I strongly believe in the power of mindfulness to bring about positive transformation and guide individuals towards a happier, less stressed life. It brings me immense joy to witness individuals reclaim their sense of balance, find peace amidst chaos, and embrace a more fulfilling and stress-free existence.

Personal note - What do you love to do in your free time?

In my free time, I love being with family, painting, reading, and trying new restaurants.
